Hello all,

I mistakenly thought I could adjust the dust cover on my Beogram 3404 last year and in doing so broke the clips that hold the tension spring in place. I was able to purchase some replacements but it's been so long I don't recall how everything goes back together. There are 3 stainless or aluminum pcs that came out at the same time.

Does anyone have any closeup pictures or instructions on how to put this back together? Is it best to remove the whole assembly from the chassis? I'm assuming the dust cover is similar to those on the 2200/2400/3400 since they are listed on the same service manual?

Thanks very much!

The three stainless steel angled pieces goes inside the outer hinge cover as friction reducers.
If you look closely inside the large plastic hinge cover, you can usually tell where they came from.
To ease fitting you can glue them in.

Thanks so much. I thought I replied back to this but I guess I didn't. Do you have any pictures of how everything should look and maybe any suggestions on step by step reassembly?

And is it easier to remove the assembly from the base to put it back together? It's been so long since I mistakenly took it apart I don't remember how it's supposed to fit and don't want to risk damaging the new clips I bought.
