hello

My 1975 Beolit 707 has a background hum on all the bands. Its reception is great and its sound too but there is a background unusual hum.

could it be a capacitor? Anyone has faced a similar problem?

thanks

Are you using it on batteries or mains?
If on mains, check the filter capacitor and the rectifier diodes.

Hi Martin,

I am using it on the mains. Shall I replace the capacitor and the 2 diods in the power supply?

Do you knows their values?

I was unable to read the value of the capacitor...perhaps a 1000uF or 100uF?

What about the value of the 2 diods?

Thanks,

Ramzi
