Beoplay A8 software updates

Can anyone tell me what the latest software is for the A8?  I have 2.0.0

Also, can they really be serious you have to hardwire it to the router to get the updates? Surely wiring it to the PC is fine?  And when are we going to be able to download updates wirelessly?

 

Is it possible for B&O to tell us when a new update is available?

It says you should be able to find out the latest SW version via the B&O Setup Utility app (among other methods)

But why can't B&O simply tell me what the latest software is and what it does, without my having to connect everything up?
