When connecting my Beolab 9s to non B&O electronics using RCA - DIN connectors I get a low level hum. The cables supplied by Sounds Heavenly are fine and I've tried several different sources including a battery powered CD player. The hum disappeared when I connected a loaned B&O player. Has anyoNe any ideas what the issue might be. I did wonder if B&O gear gives out a unique 'turn on' signal to the speaker's , where as when using other gear the speakers would rely on the audio signal to energise out of standby. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hi Whizzy,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems.  If you can please drop me a line via my website to let me know your order reference, I will be pleased to check that the cables you ordered are the correct ones for your speakers (Beolab 9 have special grounding requirements to avoid humming issues).

Once the speakers are set to Line mode, they should turn on automatically when the music plays, without any noise issues.  Can you please let us know which devices are connected to the speakers?

We can then offer further help.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
