Hi all,
It's come to my attention that in order to access the service menu on this set I have to short M33 and M34. However, extensive search done, I still haven't found them.
I don't own the manual, is it anywhere on this site? I've got gold membership.
Any help very welcome,
- Niels
Welcome to Beoworld
You may have a look here under Service Manuals. Can't send the complete link as I'm only bronze member.

Thanks. Could only find the MX6000 manual but that was close enough of a hint to finally find it. Daylight helps too :)
Have the service manual for the ME6000 - I attach a photo of the main circuit board - pins at bottom left.

Thanks! So the service menu gives me very limited options as compared to for ex. my MX4000. I have found and tweaked various pots but only the horz. circuitry seems to respond properly. The main reason I wanted to access it is to see if I can compensate for what seems like a broken vertical sync. circuit (there's a line above the screen independent of the input and it really looks like the vertical real estate isn't used like it should). I've peeked at the caps and they look fine but of course that doesn't say a whole lot. Since I live in Denmark where these things are dirt cheap I'm torn between taking up the challenge and replacing the related caps to see if that resolves anything or just chucking it out and getting a new one ;)
Also any tips on the issues I described are very welcome. I think I'm right in locating the source of the problem but my electrical engineering is based on different stuff than CRT televisions so I'm going by deduction through basic logic :)
In any case if I am to replace stuff that sheet will be very useful!
Being somewhat of a fool I also twisted the G2 (beam voltage control) pot, and I've been told this isn't the best of ideas. If all is well the service manual should state what it should be and where to measure it so I can restore it to the ratio the tube has been made for.
@Peter: maybe got that page too? ;)
Thanks
You may have the service manual if you like - send me your address - my email is mcevedy (at) mac.com - I'll post it to you as scanning it is not very practical!
In the meantime :
That's nothing short of great! I'll send you a mail, thanks!
Posted today - hope it is helpful
I hope someone can help. I have brought up the service menu by bridging the M33 and M34 pins but the service options do not show anything for geometry. I have a couple of images here of what I see when entering the Service menu. The firmware is 4.2:
Does anyone know how to adjust the screen as the screen is too far to the right when using RGB.
