Hi all!
First post here so let me run you down with whats going on. My biological father died a few years back and left my brother and I this Beolab 8000 system and speakers. I didn't have room at the time so I let my brother hold on to them, but as I kind of expected he didn't take very good care of them. Here is a picture of it now -
The biggest of the issues is one of the 8" speakers is blown. It needs to be refoamed, the dust cover is dented and has a minor tear in it, and I believe the voice coil might be messed up because as I push it back or pull it forward, it scraping or something. I know how to get a refoam kit, but if the voice coil is messed up I'm not sure how to go about fixing that. Picture attached below -
I'm also looking to find the speaker grills and the speaker mounting hardware for one speaker if anyone knows where to get any that would be very helpful.
The smaller issues is it looks like he scratched and dinged the speaker cabinets and the sc80. I know they are a rosewood veneer, and would like to fix them the best I can, but unfortunately I'm no woodworker and am not sure how to go about this either. Any help would be appreciated, and more pictures of the damage attached below -
Last thing is the metal lid for the Beogram 8000 has fallen off. It looks like it was just glued before so should I just glue it back? What would be a good glue to use since it looks like it was glued close to its pivot point and might break again easily - Pictures attached below -

So after pulling this apart for a few days I figured out the Beogram 8000 wouldn't really turn on. I could get the light on the tracking arm to come on, but it would not respond to commands or anything. Upon further inspection I found the tracking arm to be seized in a way that wouldn't let me put the player into the service position. Eventually I got the threaded spindle to move enough for me to open it and come to find it had a broken arm on the encoder wheel had broken off and that was preventing it from moving. Now I ordered a new threaded spindle and recap kit, so hopefully that is all it needs to work. I also started testing the Beomaster 8000 and found some things wrong with it. The balance LED panel has an LED out. I was not able to make the amplifier work by using any of the RCA jacks under the control panel or the FM tuner to work. I next hooked up the Beocord to it via Din and found out that something is probably wrong with it. I could put a tape in, but when I hit play it would swing up and then right back down and do nothing. So finally I hooked an iPhone up to the external filters RCA on the side and was able to get the system to produce sound. There was a constant buzzing sound that would get drowned up if I turned the volume up. It also was producing sound no matter what input I selected, but I'm pretty sure that is how those filter RCAs work. I found one of the mid domes not working in the MS150s and one tweeter that was crackling. Other than that, some wood polish and natural oil restorer did wonders for the CS80 and scratches on the speakers rosewood veneer. Going to try to get my hands on a recap kit for the speaker crossovers and the beomaster 8000 and see if anything improves.
