Good Day All,
first post on here - I have inherited the above screen and its associated BeoSystem 3 socket panel, wall bracket, sound-bar and remote control. I'm not in a position to put it on the wall yet but would like to fire it up to confirm it works. It was all serviceable before leaving its previous home and I believe the equipment is 2007/08 vintage.
The Display 1/DVI-D OUT port on the socket box, and the Slot2/DVI-D IN on the tv helpfully have adaptors for a conventional HDMI lead. To supply a signal to the socket box, can I plug a conventional co-axial into an ANT socket, or an HDMI into one of the HDMI IN ports?
The complication is that some genius has cut the cable 12 inches behind the infra-red sensor mounted on the wall bracket. There is a plug in the IR IN port on the socket box with 6 inches of similar cable.
I assume the IR is the only way to control the TV so will need to connect the two cut cables, so what sort of 8-way connecting block should I search for on the 'bay?
The IR sensor appears to have three physical buttons. I don't have the Guide book covering this - are they volume controls?
So many questions. Thanks very much for your patience, and I look forward to hearing from someone.
Regards - DG
a through search online should find the IR cable, or just find some cable and match up the colour, its not a critical HQ cable that would be needed.
Any HMDI device can go top the inputs, and standard coax for the Antenna.
there are 3 cables that go between the Beosystem 3 and the panel.
Thanks Ro.B,
I plan to join the two pics of IR cable with a screw connector block, inelegant but functional.
What are the three cables between the BeoSystem 3 and the panel? The DVI-D I know about of course.
Many thanks - DG
