Over the weekend I played around and connected a Chromecast Audio to the line-in of BeoLab 8000’s. It works fine, but I have one question.

When chromecasting from Deezer the volume is very loud. I can only set it to one or two ‘ticks’ when using my iPad volume controls. Streaming from Tune-in or Spotify is bit less loud.

Is there a way to lower the volume so that I can better set the volume level?

Hello Leosgonewild,

Thank you for your feedback.

When looking into the Google Home app on an iDevice, I can select the Chromecast Audio. In the settings section I can adjust bass and treble, and select Dynamic Range on/off, but I don’t see any volume settings. Am I looking at the wrong place?

Txs I found it. However, i can only go up to 10% and then it is already too loud. Sad

Isn’tthere a way to set the max volume?

Try turning of HDR. Or get one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004P5MWFC/ref=cm_sw_su_dp

I changed the setup. I connected the BL’s to an old iPhone that I wasn’t

using anymore. In the iPhone you can set the maximum volume. Works perfectly!
