Can anyone please assist in how I can code my "timer" on  the BL3500 which is connected via ML to BM5500.

Problem is not to code the timer on BL3500 via Beo4 but how do I get the "time code" in to BM5500?
Can a Beolink1000 be used, and how ?  Smile

( BTW, I cannot make BL control and shift the BM either Indifferent

Hi Thomas,

To program your BM5500 to play a source at a certain time I believe you need to use the Master Control Panel 5500. A Beolink 5000 or 7000 may work, as may a Master Control Panel 6500, but I’m not sure. They are all 2-way IR remotes.

Hi Thomas

You need a MCP 5500 or 6500 to make timer programming, Beolink 5000 and7000 would not work.

Hello Søren

Thx for the fast reply, do you know if it is possible to use a MCP5000 ?

I have this one, but not a 5500

Thx Alex

Do you think the Beolink 5000 would work? And how to control it, then? (Programming the BM5500)

Beolink 5000 wouldn’t work, many years ago it was possible to buy a new PCB for the BM5500 making it work like a BM6500 , but that PCB hasn’t been available for at least 20years. The part number was 8001407.

when that said I am not  sure it’s possible to bring a timer Programming from BM5500 to Masterlink, maybe you need a Videomaster to do the programming, I been the owner of A Beomaster 7000 for 25years and I only tried to do a timer programming 3-4times so my experience is not that big🙁

MCP5000 would not work at all, totally different codes, BM 5000 also don’t work with Beolink 1000/Beo4

HHello again

Well, I'm about to toss the line on the BM and buy a small BS2300 to gain access to ML output direct.

Then I should be able to use the Beo4 to program and operate both BS and BL right? 😊

If you mean the Beocenter 2300 then that does not have masterlink. You'd need a Beosound 3000.

(You could of course purchase a Beotime and control the BL3500 from that)
