Ok, well, not in that way. I walked into my local B&O dealership in San Francisco to browse (hang out), and I asked our new proprietor where the Beosound 1 went. He said it went away, hinting at the fact the B&O is moving away from optical drives (hmmm like Apple?). A bit surprised, I looked around. A bit surprised, EVERYTHING that had an optical drive was GONE!... with the exception of the Beosound 4.

At this point, I was a bit regretful I sold my Beosound 1 earlier this year (although for $800USD, it wasn't so bad letting it go)

Anyway, I went straight to the B&O website to find - well, actually NOT to find the Beosound 9000, Beosound 1, and not even the Beosound 3200!

Yeah, yeah... I know,.. I can open a whole can of worms about digital music and compression rates and blah blah blah.... but my main concern here is...

Does anyone know for sure if these treasured pieces are all really discontinued? The products link here at Beoworld don't reflect that, but maybe they haven't been updated yet? So, if anyone has word, that would be very insightful!

On a side note - Some A$$ holes clipped the cable on the Beolit 12 display outside the store while I was inside and ran off with the unit. Total bollocks!

Its true - the only audio product remainig with an optical drive is the BeoSound 4

Well there are the BeoVision 7 models with CD/DVD/BluRay player.
And of course, at least technically,  the ripping station for the BeoSound / BeoMaster 5 combo.
