Beofan53: I'm going to install the Playmaker this Sunday ...
- If the PM is close to your BSd4 set "A.OPT" on the PM either to "0" or to "4" to avoid "double" reaction of PM and BSd 4.- To set PM to fixed voume use "A.SETUP" from "LIST", repeatedly "GO" till "S.STORE" is shown in display , then "0", "GO"
You can use the powerlink as an input. That is what I'm using on mine :-)

Yes, of course if the PL-socket (DIN 8pin or RJ45) is on a speaker it is an INPUT! But PL-sockets (DIN 8pin or RJ45) on TV, audio or link components and on the ones on the Playmaker are OUTPUTS!
You can use one of the powerlink sockets on the beosound 4 as an aux input. Like I said I'm doing this.

Since both OUTPUTS of a BSd 4 are internally connected (paralell) you're simply (mis)using this connectionto send a signal to the other socket. You're "looping through" without any chance to control volume and sound of the source via the BSd 4.If you play eg radio on BSd 4 and start to stream via the Playmaker the sound of both sources will mixas you can not select the sources! This can't be called an INPUT - technically your solution is the same as using a T or Y-cable!
