Hi,
Does anyone know if the BR1 is able to control basic functions (next, previous, on/off, volume) of the BS Core?
Thanks :-)
Yes you can do all basic functions and even more. For ex. all sources from the Beosound Core will be synced to Beoremote One. I'm struggling for the moment to add LIGHT commands which can be rerouted to Beolink Gateway.

@spezialisten
If you have more information and maybe some pics, it would be fine if you could share it (there).

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Some updates. I'm now running Beoremote One together with Apple TV. I think some one in B&O have made a REALLY good job because both Apple TV - MENU -> BeoRemote One HOUSE/MENU and Apple TV - TV -> Beoremote ON INFO-button works flawless!
What I did after that is Bluetooth paired the Apple TV with Beosound Core and every things works perfect controlling volume and of course LG Sampling (HDMI-CEC) is enabled on the TV which will let the AppleTV turn on / turn off the TV.
The only thing missing now, is the lack of sending LIGHT commands to the Beosound Core but I can live with talking to SIRI instead.
Razlaw:Received my BR1 today. Very happy with it. Seems to work perfectly with the Core including displaying the Tune in stations. Also works well in ir mode with my older equipment, other than one problem I have posted in a separate question thread.
How did you pair the two - I am struggling to make my BR1 and core work together? How do I do it?Been looking at the other threads here, and in the manual...YouTube etc etc.
Help?
:)D
I think using the BR One BT is a great way of controlling the multiroom speakers as you can have an interface of what you will be able to play without having to go to a mobile device.
Firstly, what you'll need to do is go onto the B&O app, select your BeoSound Core> go into product settings> configure and then it'll take you into the internal settings of the Core - under remote controls you can open your BS Core for pairing and then go into your BeoRemote One BT, press LIST, go down into settings> pairing> pair> "open for pairing" - once both are open for pairing they will connect and all functionality will work very similarly to when being used with a television.
All sources available on your BS Core will be seen under the "Music" button.

Thank you Vish!
The core part was all good. No problemo, but my beoremote does not have a ‘pairing’ option in List>Settings. Is it a different (perhaps outdated) version of BR1 I got my hands on? It looks like this (ie. I think its the first version):
It may not be the BT version I guess?Though, it does have BT mentioning in menu ...

It seems you're using the original BeoRemote One - this has only the IR function and does not allow a Bluetooth connectivity.
The Bluetooth source that is appearing on your remote seems as though you have "product integrated" a Network Link Multiroom product to maybe a BeoVision - allowing you to play the Bluetooth source from your Multiroom through the BeoVision.
You would need to get an updated version of your BeoRemote One to get the "pairing" functionality - the new BeoRemote One BT does include IR communications, so you would be able to use it with dual functionality.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
I have/had the same problem.
As soon as I changed something in the "link to other products" menu the tune-in list etc came back. I just changed one "link to other products" pressed "verbinden" (connect) and the menu was back. I guess it is a minor bug ?

Hi Razlaw,
How hard is it to switch between IR and BT mode. It sounds like you're doing this just fine, but I thought I read somewhere that you had to switch between BT and IR mode... can this be done just by creating IR and BT products in the remote list, or is there more to it.
I'm thinking about getting a BeoRemote to control a BV8 and Essence mk2... and I don't feel like screwing up the BR I have programmed for my Eclipse (at least until I get some basic questions answered like this one).

Thanks Razlaw. This is very helpful. Not ideal, but not too bad either. I think there's another Beoremote in my future.
