I am trying to remove the scart cable on our Beosound 9000. Is there any special trick to this? I have tried squeezing the plastic clips on either side, with no success. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, David

(Presuming you mean the Master Link cable, because an SCART is wider than the entire connection panel...)

Two tricks: First, try pushing *in* the cable slightly before pressing on the side release tabs, i.e. release the friction on the tab catches first.  If that doesn't work, make sure you're pressing on the tabs as close to the panel as possible.  They bend, just like on RJ telephone jacks, and sometimes they bend but don't put enough force on the catches to release. If you must, again like an RJ jack, you can use a tiny flat tool or a micro flat-head screwdriver (actually two of them for the Master Link connector) and gently insert between the tab and the side of the socket, thus creating a lever which applies the force a little further down the tab. But truly the little levers should be a last resort -- usually, wiggling the connector, then pressing in to release the pressure, plus pushing on the tabs as close in as possible, does the trick.  Using tools can break the tiny clips.
