I watched a late model BV7-32 with the same seller yesterday.  The auction had no reserve, but ended after several bids at just £59.99.  Within minutes the same TV was relisted with the same seller and a Buy It Now of £345.  Very suspicious!

I was watching this sale too. It was 401 GBP for a few days then went back to zero and started all over again. I’ve never sold anything on eBay, only bought, so I don’t know what circumstances would cause that to happen. But it seemed unusual to me.

There was a £401 bid 'retracted' - which is a valid thing for a bidder to do.  For instance, someone might bid on the TV and then re-read the auction and see that it is 'collection only'.  I think the seller has to approve a retracted bid.

My worry with some of these auctions is that the seller has a mate bidding the price up!  Then when the mate accidentally wins, the seller scraps the sale and starts again.  I have challenged a few sellers in the past - they usually say that the winner failed to pay!

Ah! I didn’t know that a buyer could retract a bid. Even if it is with the seller’s approval.

I understand completely what you mean by concerns about a seller’s friend upping the bids. There’s a pair of white Beolab 4s with ceiling brackets that has been sold over and over and over again. Very odd.

Actually, I like the V1. I recently bought one and I LOVE the speaker groups feature.
