Free to anyone who wants it and is able to collect from Brighton UK. I have a Beovision 6-26 in reasonable cosmetic condition. Unfortunately there appears to be a backlight problem as the screen brightness is not uniform: there are two brighter and two darker stripes in horizontal bands across the screen. This isn't actually that noticeable when watching a programme, but is noticeable on a test screen with uniform colour. Other than that all is working fine.

it's been gathering dust as I planned to attemp a repair, but if I'm honest I'm not going to get round to it so I'd rather it went to a good home for repair or use for parts

Note this is one of the earlier versions that will only display 720p HD on the PC input. It has the Samsung (rather than sharp)  panel.

Hi Luke,

I’m interested if yours has a later software chip and PUC chip than mine (which is also one of the early models).

Here is the info from mine:

Type No. 9252

Monitor info

06 IC3. AP SW 2.6

06 IC2. IOP SW 22.0

STB TABLE 3.0

If yours is later I’m happy to collect.

Lawrence

Hi Lawrence - no I did not get your email: I've checked my settings and it is the correct address so not sure why it hasn't come through- give it another go and if it still doesn't work I'll raise it with the site admin

all the best

Luke

Hi Luke,

I’ve sent you both a PM and an email.

Please advise whether you’ve received them. Thanks.

Thanks Lawrence - I got the PM but still no email coming through which is odd. I'll chase that up with admin, but I've responded to the PM so let's take it from there.

I have re-opened this thread because I too have a BV6-26 available for 'spares or repair'.

It's in good cosmetic condition.  I purchased it from Darren of Timeless AV about 8 years ago and it has been my main TV since then.  (I have now 'upgraded' to a BC6-26!)

The problem/fault is that the screen seems faded/dim/greyed-out - I have been using it like this for the past year but did a 'back-to-back' test with by BC6-26 and there is a noticeable difference.

If anyone wants the TV please send me a PM.  I am located between Bletchley and Buckingham in a village just off the A421.  I am not prepared to post/send the TV, nor am I prepared to remove individual parts.

A few pictures for info:  (You'll note a very small/select STB list - set up for me by Darren)

Bump - any takers for the TV above?  Did I mention that it's free? Big Smile

I'll leave the offer open for a few more days and then you'll find it at Buckingham Household Recycling Centre (aka the dump!)

Last chance - or it's off to the tip tomorrow!!!

(House is now on market prior to downsize hence I either dump or pay to store - and I'll be storing enough of my serviceable B&O!!)

I will reluctantly remove fret (black cloth version), tweeters or any of the plastic rear covers the DVI socket cover (can't find the others!) if anyone wants them and will cover cost of postage).  Anything bigger and it's collection only.

Don't all rush at once!  Smile

^ I also have a BeoCenter 9000 for spares or repair free for collection only.  Glass panels loose and tatty and CD doesn't work - I think I tried to fix by replacing capacitor but gave up.  Otherwise good cosmetically.  This won't be going to the dump yet, but it's only a matter of time!

Hello Guy, I could use the DVI socket cover! If you let me know by pm how I best get the postage costs to you? Will share my address with you by pm. Nice gesture! Regards, Johan
