I would like to connect my BS Ouverture to Beomaster 8000 in order to play CDs through the Beomaster. What would be the best way to do this? I have tried to connect the AUX socket of the Ouverture to the Tape 2 socket of Beomaster, but it does not seem to work.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Probably because the cable hasn't been wired correctly. The cable needs to swap input/outputs, not go directly through.

I have used a normal 5-pin DIN-to-DIN cable. How can I distinguish if a DIN cable has swapped inputs/outputs?
Reading the manual of the Ouverture, it appears to suggest that the AUX socket is only used for the input signal and not for output. Is there maybe any way to use the Masterlink or the headphone sockets of the Ouverture to connect to Beomaster 8000?
I've run a cable from one of PowerLink sockets on my BeoCenter 2300 to the 'TAPE 2 PLAY' phono sockets on my BeoMaster 6000 that powers my BeoVox MS 150.2's. I simply use a 5 pin DIN-to-Phono cable.
You could try to use your cable with the PowerLink output instead, but the 5 pin DIN would then carry some of the unnecessary PowerLink (Or AUX for that matter) signals and send them in to the BeoMaster 8000 - don't know if this eventually could cause some damage or strange behavior of either the Ouverture or 8000 as they aren't designed to be connected like that... That's why I've bypassed the unnecessary signals.

If the BM 8000 has RCAs in for tape, you can use a 5 Pin DIN to 4XRCAs, use the AUX out RCAs to Tape in on the BM 8000, should work.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
The reason why I've used the PowerLink outputs is so I'm able to control the volume through the 2300. When using the AUX output you'll have to control the volume on the 8000.

Of course didnt think about that
is there's any different if I connect my bm8000 with the beosystem3 as pre-amp&digital sound processing, will it make any different??
