Hi guys, new to the forum here but unfortunately not going to be a positive first post.

I sent off my B&O H3 ANC headphones because the sound was muffled with the jack in certain positions 16 months after purchase. I sent them off, they arrived last Friday (5th October) and I got a reply on Tuesday saying there was customer induced damage. After repeated inquires they sent me two blurry photos of the ear pieces themselves broken apart. They claim that is how they arrived but hand on heart they were completely in tact when sent off, even sent in their original box, which was surrounded by bubble wrap encased in another box, so I doubt it was UPS that was the problem.

Just wondering if anybody had any experience or advice that could help me as they have refused to repair or replace my earphones because of damage I didn't do. I was foolish not to take photos of them packaged up however I swear on my mothers life they were completely in tact when they were sent. Now I've been hung out to dry and left significantly out of pocket, as B&O products in general aren't cheap. So far I have asked if they took pictures of the headphones when they first arrived as it was a significantly long time between UPS delivering, B&O acknowledging they received them and them a long time to tell me that it was induced damage. Still waiting to hear back from that email.

TIA

Oscar Taylor

I have had the opposite experience with 3 different beoplay returns- decently quick responses and good responses.

Also, I always take pictures before sending anything showing both the item (which I include a copy with the packed item) and of how I packed it. Using eBay frequently has taught me how wrong shipping can go. But this does not help you. I’m sorry for your loss and frustration.

It wasn't the first time I took then back. Had the original pair for 5 months before they broke, and was the complete opposite experience. Just regret not taking photos because now B&O have basically screwed me.

Sounds very frustrating.

Nowadays, with storage so cheap ( free!) and tech everywhere, if I sell or buy anything used, or return anything uinder warranty, I snap a few packing pics with my phone as I go along, then a completed package pic.   Only takes a few seconds, stick them in a google drive folder, and they are there just in case.

When selling, I have emailed these pics to the buyer before shipping- so they can see how it left me.

Hope you get it resolved.

Yeah it is definitely frustrating. I was stupid not to take photos of it being packed but I guess you learn from your mistakes, this one being rather more expensive than the others in my short life. Unfortunately they internally reviewed it and the grainy blurry picture that the technician took after they were out the box with the earbuds off was apparently enough to say that the right hand ear piece being in 2 was me, and they sent them back as is, so not only did I send of an in tact pair of headphones, but they came back more broken and all they offered me was 10% off my next B&O purchase. I am a 20 year old university student, unfortunately I don't have a limitless amount of money to go back on B&O and even buy their cheapest pair of in ears. Most of my tech I bought before Uni when I worked my socks off doing 20 hours plus college at a cafe, where I bought those in ears, a pair of Bose QC25 over ears, a new phone, a laptop etc. Unfortunately, my phone is also on its last legs after 2 1/2 years so thats more of a priority, saving up to buy my aunts Iphone X once she gets an upgrade. For now, I just glued the ear piece back together (luckily it still worked), taped the jack in a position to get them working, and theyll do for now. I also bought a cheap pair of wireless anker earbuds which do a half decent job for £25. I am disappointed with B&O to be frank. My next door neighbour loves their stuff; he always gets the latest things and has an impressive built in system in their living room they've had for about 10 years now that sounds great. I wanted to like them, its just a shame they couldn't help me out and now I'm put off their stuff forever.
