I have a problem with re-fiting the top plate on my Beogram 6000. One of the supporting pins is too high. I have not done anything to the deck except removed the top plate. What is the right procedure?

The top plate on my 4002 has always been touchy to get in place. I mostly find I have to move the sliding front a little until it drops in. I would not try to change any of the pins. One of mine looked bent so I straightened it a little and the plate would not go on. It turned out it was bent at the factory to fit.

I finally got it in place. Some violence helped... Another problem arised, the sliding cover does not hold on one side. As it will go into storage, I will not bother now.
