Hey Guys,

Does anyone know how I can update speaker option list on Beovision 7-55

I bought a pair of Beolab 12-2 and don’t have them as an option on my Beovision 7-55

Thank you for the help in advance.

It would require a technician/dealer to do it, assuming there is even an update including the 12s available. There was a document I saw a couple years ago describing what speakers to use in the 7-55 if one’s speakers were not included in the menu. Based on that document I have my 12-3s as rears set as Beolab 3s. If my memory is correct, it also included some adjustments to be made to the distances to be used in the set up menu.

I had a BeoSystem 3 updated this summer to the latest software and it shows BeoLab 12-3 as an option, but it doesn't show 12-2.

I found the info dealer gave me. It says to set up 12-2s as 6000s and add 1.5 meters to the distance to accommodate the difference in processing time.

Adding 1,5 meters will do the trick! If you are interested why, this article by the Geoff is great: https://www.tonmeister.ca/wordpress/2017/12/06/bo-tech-beolab-loudspeakers-and-third-party-systems/. I would also recumbent reading the article about how to properly setup a multichannel system. No dealer, quite sadly, has done a good job of doing this for me, ever!
