Dear Beoworlders,

My Beosound 9000 MKI is behaving very strange the last weeks. It is connected to a Beovion 6 and Beolab 8000/11. At a sudden moment it did not respond anymore to the remote. I started the Beosound 9000 manually and it became alive again. The remote worked again as well.

A few days later the same thing happened. Tried to do the same, but it didnt work. Had to open the glass panel a couple of times and pressed aux/radio/cd random a couple of times and at a sudden moment it became alive again. Really strange.

This afternoon it happened again, but it does not matter what I do, it doens't turn on the music. The thing is that everything seems to work. You can see the cd mechanism work, you can see radio channels, but it does not turn on the speakers.

When I press TV, the television does work and the speakers go on. So it must be a Beosound 9000 problem I guess.

Does somebody know what might be the problem?

It seems that the BS9000 is connected through the ML cable to the BV6/BL8000's.

Disconnect the ML-cable and leave it for a while. You might connect the BL8000 directly to the BS9000.

The ML-module regularly gives some problems due to aging components on the ML-board.

Thnx! You're right about the ML connection. Disconnected the ML cable and plugged the 8000/11 directly into the 9000. Sound is back :)

Now I only need to figure out a solution to get the sound from the BV6 back on the 8000/11 as well.

The proper solution would be getting the ML board fixed.

Prefer to fix it properly, but don't know about costs. Do you know if this part is easy to order and replace? If you know a good adress in NL it's always welcome :)
