Hi all,
I need a little help with this setup, I want link in the following rooms that consist of:
Office: Beosystem 9500, Beolab 3
Hall: Beolab 4000
Living Room: MX8000, Beolab 18, Beolab 19
The office is where my main system is, and I want to link the music from here to the other rooms.
I need an eye in the hall, but do I need one in the living room too? - Or can I control the Beosystem 9500 through the TV instead of an eye?
The MX8000 will at some point be changed to an Eclipse instead.
Best Regards

Yes. You just need a 7-pin Audio Aux Link between the TV and BC9500. Oops didn't realise MX8000 was in the Masterlink era! In that case you need ML between the two (if your MX has the ML module), hence also require Beolink Converter 1611.
The BC should be in A.OPT.2 and the TV in V.OPT.2.
Hi Guy,
Thanks for getting back to me.
So just to be sure on how this works, if a record is playing in the office and I want to link the sound to the hall I just press play on the Beolink Eye. But what do I press in the living room if I want to link the sound here?
You surely have a Beo4 there.
If with ‘record’, you mean a vinyl record, you will probable start that with ‘Phono’ on the remote.
(if a newer version of the Beo4, you will have to add this to the List first).
This is how it works, if option setup is like Guy described.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
I only have a Beolink 1000, but I assume that will work too?
Will a Beolink 7000 work in the living room with the two-way communication?

BL1000 should work fine.
A BL7000 will NOT work with two-way communication as neither the MX8000 nor Masterlink support this. You will be able to operate the BL7000 in one-way mode, however.
Is there a way to make the BL7000 work two-way in a link setup?
I remember reading on Beoworld that BL7000 was "recommended for rooms equipped with link systems" - how would that work?

Oh sorry, the opposite was asked!
But why - the BeoLink 7000 is per default two-way working....
.....given that the link-setup has support for two-way communication.
