Beocord 7000 flat belt too long ...?
Ask for help, have already renewed several times the flat belt, because after a short time the drive did not work properly (especially fast forward and rewind) I have the feeling that the flat belt, which I have bought too long.
Beocord 7000 / Type 4941 / Serial number 0972 ....

Is there any human being in this universe who can tell me how long this flat belt needs to be?

I have measured the flat belts supplied to me, they have a circumference of 226 mm, width is 5 mm and the thickness is 0.6 mm.
I already have the drive for the fourth time ! have to expand because after about 3 months, the fast rewind and rewind no longer works.
Please, Please help me ... I do not remember ... thank you for your help

Ask Professor Dillen about it.

I bought the flat belts on ebay from the seller "Black Reel" ...
The flat belts are suitable for this drive ... according to the seller ... allegedly
They also fit, but after a short time they are so long that the rewind and rewind then no longer works ...

Thanks a lot for the answer

merlin:

Who is Professor Dillen?

Martin “Dillen” one of the administrators on this side...he delivered new belts for my BC7000 2 years ago, and it’s still playing perfect.

Hello Sören, thank you for the answer ...
Were the belts made of rubber or rather a plastic mixture?

Thanks for the answer

It's a certain rubber composition. Absolutely no plastics.
Your findings come as no surprise. I have even seen sewer pipe gaskets sold as belts on Ebay.

I can supply correct belts.
You have email.

Hello Martin ,
Thank you for your quick response. I think I have the drive version "new version" with 3 straps (1 x motor, 1 x magnetic wheel and the flat belt for the capstans). I have a photo attached from my drive, can you please check it?
The drive is already completely overhauled including lubrication according to service instructions, it is a converted drive from a Beosystem 2500, the Beocord drive was mechanically broken and so I have assembled a working drive from 2 drives.

Thank you for your help

best regards from Merlin

So, today an update to the Beocord "belt problem" ...

The device works absolutely correct, even my old cassettes from the car run without mistakes ... thanks to Martin for the perfect straps (never again others !!!)

It took a while, I had to repair a Braun Atelier C4 in between, suddenly it was in my workshop, I do not know how it got there well ... smile

Thanks again for the help and good that it is this
