Beosound 5 Encore - power supply missing

Hi

I have a problem that you may be able to solve.

I got a gift from my friend , a beosound 5 Encore where power supply is missing.
What are the options?
Can I DIY?
Does anyone of you maybe have to sell one?

New ones are no longer available...only PCB as apare part.

I remember when i had my encore all those years ago when the opened the box with the power supply i had to put it together all myself.

Basically i had to connect all of the wires , which i thought was really odd.

I have never received a power supply that was not put together.

I would say if you can’t find one, you could DIY it.

I’ll have to look up the user manuals if it is still around to see what the connector was like in to the encore.... i think it may have been a proprietary (well sort of) one.

The PCB is the only part inside the power supply. So you can basically have a power supply if you can find something safe to mount the PCB in and then purchase the power cables for the input of the BS5 and for the other side of the PCB. 

 

@Aussie Micheal - The reason why you had to put together the power supply is for the different mounting options, which were most likely through the wall.

it seems that i have different problem..

I open the box ..and ..it's Beoosound 5 ...not beosoud 5encore :(

So i need Beomaster5 :(

There is no DIY there 🤣
