I have a Beovision 7-32 MKIII with Beolab 7.1, a Beosystem 7000 with Beolab's Penta as front speakers and Beolab's 8000 or 6000 avialable as rear speakers. A Beolink 1611 I have also available to link BV7-32 and BM7000 via masterlink. Now I have Stereo setup on the BM7000 with the Pentas and the Beolab 7.1 linked to the BV7-32. I listen to a lot of music so the best setup for music is preferable.

Question 1: Does it make sense to play (stereo) music via a 3.1 or 5.1 surround setup via the BV7-32? This can be done by linking the BM7000 via beolink 1611 and master link to the BV7-32 and linking all Beolabs to the BV7-32.

Question 2: What are the correct opt settings of the BM7000 and BV7-32 for this 3.1 or 5.1 surround setup?

Moving your Pentas to the BV7 will give you a loss in music quality from cd and vinyl if you use masterlink.

I would use the BL8000 as fronts and BL6000 as rear. Invest in a BL2.

Keep the BS7000 and Pentas separate for music.
