Hello
Long time audio fan but Brooke B&O owner who is looking for a bit of help/knowledge from the experts here.
I recently acquired a Beomaster 1900 in good condition (volume control lights are not working and balance control is off) and a Beocord 5500 in very good condition. However as I am sure you all know the DIN connectors for these two models are not compatible. So my question is simple are there any adapters made that would allow these two models to work together?
Also any thoughts on how to get at fixing the the issues with the 1900 would be appreciated!
Hello Wolverine,
Welcome to Beoworld! Yes, you can use a newer Beocord with the older Beomaster 1900 with a 5 pin DIN cable, the Beomaster 1900 isn't able to remotely control the Beocord but you can still operate the Beocord manually using the buttons on the front panel. For all Beocords that have a 5 pin or 7 pin socket on the rear panel (ie. no fitted cable), please use this 5 pin cable to connect to an older Beomaster:-

Thanks for the welcome and the information.
I'm looking to learn a lot from the experts here!
Beocord 5500 has a captured cable with a 7-pin male DIN plug. The two outer pins unscrew to make it fit 5-pin sockets.Keep the pins a safe place.
