Hi there,

I have recently moved, and now have space to put my record player in the lounge, alongside my beomaster 6000 (once it's had it's rubber replaced)... I have a beaten up 2402 at the moment, with need of multiple repairs... and I've never really thought it was that great...

So... which reasonably priced (!) BeoGram would you recommend? Looking for easy use, and good sound quality, but the ability to buy cartridges/stylii easily (which I struggled with my old 1202) - and connect up nice and easily to my existing beomaster.

Will then just have to hunt down something in decent nick on ebay, or wait for somehting to come up on the sale boards...

All suggestions/recommendations welcomed!

Cheers,

Jeff

I don't think there is a reasonably priced Beogram with cheap cartridges. I would however, if you are determined to get a Beogram, look for a 6002. A forgotten model - this is a 4002 in BG8000 clothes with the last of the cartridges. Used to be very cheap as definitely thought to be the poor brother of the 8002 but is an excellent sounding deck. Simpler to fix too!

Thanks Peter- I should have qualified that with “relatively cheap”! Will definitely check that out!
