Hello

My setup is BeoVision11 with BeoLab9 in the living room, BeoSound Moment with BeoPlayM5 in the office. When I want to play the Moment through the BV11 it will not start. I have to activate it in the office and then I am able to play it on the BV11.

Is there a setting to remote start the BS Moment?

Thanks for any hint!

Regards Ruedi

Use the B&O app for use with the M5.

Then in the loudspeakersettings you can set up “use tv loudspeakers”.

I assume that the Moment can “see” the BV11.

Thank You for the quick answer!

M5 works fine with the app and the Moment in the same room.

What I would like to do is to start "MUSIC" on the TV  without swiching on manually the Moment in the other room. If I do so, I can see on the TV screen "connecting to BS Moment failed"

The BV is not triggering the BS to turn on.

With the right settings you will see something like this on the tv.

These sources can be activated directly using the Beo remote.

I think that Moment has to be integrated with the BV11 to have the sources listed like that.

(That is my setup and I can select MUSIC, and trigger Moment to play.)

I´m quite sure what the OP is asking for is not possible without integrating the Moment to BV11.

Sure, but why have a Moment and a M5 in the same room???

I suppose that the Moment has no own speaker....the OP did not mention anything, anyway.

The Moment belongs to the tv and should be integrated (means using the speakers of the BV).

The OP can easily draw upon the sources of the Moment via the M5 anytime.

@ Hirot

Thank You, I find this screen on the BV11 and I can go to BS Moment but it does not turn on.

Can you please give me your sources setting on the BV11

@ Millemissen

Thank you, Moment has only M5 as a speaker in the office. But without touching the BSMoment

by hand I dont get connection BV11-BSMoment. I use BeoOne remote to turn on MUSIC and BV11

shows the information: connecting to BSMoment failed.

Definitely some settings to be done - maybe Hiort will report back, since he has such a setup at home.

Meanwhile - and out of curiosity: ‘Moment has only M5 as a speaker in the office. But without touching the BSMoment’,

could you tell more about how that would work?

How do you control, what is playing?

You should definitely integrate Moment with BV11.

Go to the settings menu in BV11 and choose product integration.:

Choose link to other products:

This is what it looks like when the Moment is integrated. I call the Moment “Vardagsrum” and Moment is using the Speakers connected to BV11:

Once integrated, you have Moments sources listed as you could see in MMs picture. You can then assign MUSIC on you Beoremote 1 to start a source of your choice.

It may be so that you need to reset the Moment and do a new installation from scratch and there select that Moment should use the speakers connected to BV11 (if that is what you want).

Further note:

You can assign each of these new sources to a certain Speaker Group (e.g. the BL9’s) in order to let the music start up as stereo from the fronts.

You may know this already, but one more nice possibility with BV11 is that you can setup speaker groups and assign the speaker groups to the various sources so that e.g. Deezer from Moment plays on your BL9s only. Or only in your BV11 speakers. Or in any other combination you may think of Smile

Dear Hiort & MM, you are the champions!

With your help my setup works as wanted. And on top of it I learned a lot about the possible settings on the BV11.

One little problem left: when I switch from TV to MUSIC, the BSmoment comes in too loud. Where could I adjust the volume levels of the sources permanent?

Thank you so much for your help!

Best regards Ruedi

No problem. Smile

The only setting of volume you can do is the default volume on the BV11.

Under soundsetting in the BV11 settings menu there is a setting for volume.

The volume you have there when you select "save" is the volume BV11 will have as default also when you activate e.g music.

I have default setting 40 and that works good for me both for starting music and TV.

Let me know if you have further questions.

/Claes

Just out of interest - do you have different Speaker Groups for Tv and for Music?

When yes, involving which apeakers?

P.S. I could find nothing in the Moment manual, nor do I remember such setting there.

Correct. There are no such setting in the Moment. I wonder what might be wrong here....

@Ruedi  Can you perhaps explain how things are set up now?

How Moment is connected to BV11.

How BL 9s are connected to BL11.

Hi Ruedi

I am quite sure it is possible  to have different sounds settings for TV And Moment.

My System  contents of BV11, Beosystem7000 and BS Moment (and some Link room speakers) and in the BV11 menu I have set a higher input level for my Beogram 7000 record player.... and only that!! not the other components in my BS7000.

I am not home until Monday and I can’t remember the exact procedure, but I think what you should do is set a speaker group for your Moment and change the sound level there.. (the speaker group could be the same as other sources but with different soundsettings)

Good Morning friends!

I have tried to upload some screenshots, but no way.

- the BSMoment is integrated and shows as a link product

- Yes, I have TV and Music speaker arrangements

- if I look at the Music settings, I can alter various settings but not volume

Hope, this explains the setting. I keep trying to load the pics!

No, not really.

Perhaps you could tell us, if you have different Speaker Groups - and which - and whether they are alligned to certain sources in the list?

Did you initially set up the tv including Speaker Groups yourself, or did a dealer do that?

Maybe I just did not understand what you mean - looking forward to the pics.

Maybe I can not load pictures because I am using Mac, or because I am 70??

Anyhow: after various installations by B&O dealer, including NL/ML converter to connect the 3 BS3500, my wife was not happy with the sophisticated handling and especially with BS5 CDplayer. Back to the roots: the stylish BS3200 runs the ML speakers and is connected to the BL9 by the Almando switchbox.

The actual setup in the living room is BV11, BL9 and BL4 as suround. Whereas the BL9 come in action trough the switchbox when BS3200 is in use. BV11 has the prioity.

This all works fine and the volume levels are the same. In my office I run the BSMoment and M5 as speaker. With your kind help I am able to switch on and listen BSMoment trough BV11 and BL9,BL4.    BV11 autom.selects Music mode.

The only problem is: it comes in too loud. I can not find a seperate volume setting for sources in the BV menue.

Thank you for your patience!

I´m not sure that is the cause of the various volumes, but I think you need to setup Moment so that Moment uses the BV11 speakers. Then the BV11 default volume should be the level that Moment will start playing at.

If you do a reinstall of the Moment, you will be asked if Moment uses the TVs speakers. Then you should say yes.

You do not need to have M5 connected to Moment. Just use the B&O app if you want to play something from Moment, or use the sources that M5 have built.

Maybe this helps (from the guide):

Incorrect product chosen in Network Link

During 'First time setup' the BeoSound Moment will connect with the first Network Link product that announces itself (in case of more products in

the network: TV (Network Link), BeoLink Converter NL/ML or even BeoPlay A9 etc.).

After 'First time setup' is completed, check which product is connected to using this procedure:

- Remove Socket cover.

- In the About menu choose: Sound > Speaker setup and under Use TV speakers the chosen product is shown in the selection field.

- Press the to see the list of announced products and select the one desired.

If done correctly the tv turns on, when you start playback from the Moment/Jukebox.

Thank you Hiort and Millemissen

To set the speakers on the BSMoment to BV11 is the solution! It works as designed and I can adjust the desired volume on the BSMoment. Perfect! It restarts with the last volume setting.

No roses without thornes: my wife is watching TV in the living room, I turn on the BSM in the office and:     the TV switches to BSM and starts playing music. My wife is not very amused.

I hope to find a way of prioity setting on the BV11.

I would like to thank you both for your great help! As said before, the workaround also gives me mor knowlege about the endless possibilities of the B&O network.

I’m sorry to tell you that it will not be possible to use BV11 and Moment simultaneously.

I suggest you use the Beo app to play music on M5, as I assume that is the usecase.

That is the point of integrating the Moment - it should be located where the tv is.....for convenience sake.

You can still draw on the sources of the Moment from the M5, if you connect it to that.

Configuration page (in the app) -> settings -> beolink -> connect to other products.....(similar to what I can with the sources of my Essence)

I guess Hiort can tell you more there - he has the Moment integrated to his tv and he has a M5 too.

Yes, that is the case.

since the M5 has no screen to interact with (like the jukebox of the Moment), you will need the (Bang & Olufsen) app for that.

That is how it works.

The M5 has many own/built-in sources, so it should be no problem to leave the Moment integrated....

....if Ruedi is willing to use a phone/tablet with the app in that room..

Hi Hiort & millemissen

After trying all kind of settings i have my dream function:

#1 - all units standby, I am in the office

- BS Moment turned on by hand

- M5 turned on by Beo app - the music plays in the office.

- BV11 may be used as TV in the living

#2 - again all units stand by, I am in the livingroom

- press MUSIC on the Beo one, BS Moment turns on at normal soundlevel - music through BL9. Moment is controllable with BeoONe, Deezer aso.

All just perfect!! Important settings are: product integration BV11 and BSMoment on both sides. And to avoid the automatic start of BV11 = speakers NOT shared with BV11 (setting on BsMoment)

Thank you again so much.  Best regards Ruedi

One more thing, that you maybe know already... :

If you start playing on M5 (from one of the M5 sources) in your office, and go over to your living room you just have to select "JOIN" on your remote (under LIST) to have Moment to join what is playing on the Moment.

Same if you play something on Moment, you just press on M5 to join that experience.
