I recently bought a beocenter 5000 at a house clearance auction that I happened to turn up to (with no hope of it being any good). It all works though; turntable, tuner, mmc 20s cartridge, beovox s55 speakers are fine, just the tape deck doesn't work. It makes a noise when you press play or forward/rewind and tries to engage but the spindles don't turn. I've heard I can get new belts but is it really hard to do oneself and are there specialists who can do it? Also, is this something that would sell if in good nick? Thanks. Ian.
