Hello from Los Angeles, CA

After moving my Beosound 9000 mk3 from the floor to a countertop, I receive the following LED message "Cleaning required. What can I do to clear this message? It only appears for a short time and then starts playing. Is this something I can fix or does it need to be serviced by a B&O technician? Thanks for your help.

Hi

Just wipe the inside of the glass door and the two plastic prisms on the aluminium plate.

Its a safety system that bounces an ir beam between the two prisms off the inside of the glass. A build of dust or a film can block the signal.

If you insert your finger between the glass and the aluminium plate while the disc sledge is in motion it stops dead in its tracks. Always a great demonstration point to show off the engineering :-)

Regards

Opman

I had the same problem this morning and these instructions worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

Regards,

Aydin.

P.S. This is my first post to this forum. I have joined after I have bought my Beosound 9000 Mk3 and so far very happy with it.

Thanks Opman, I've just followed your instruction & all seems to be well in my 'Beoland' again.
