I have a Essence mk2 in my bedroom that I recently noticed is resetting every morning.  The "plop" from the speakers has been waking me up (usually, I wake up not really knowing why or with a vague recollection of some beeping - maybe someone's cell phone notification - but this morning, I was already awake and caught it).

Looking at the log, the last few nights, it has reset as 5:11:18 (exactly the same time).  I see a log message for "Network state: down" (and I assume it resets which causes the "plop").  It occurs slightly earlier every few days looking at the history.  This goes back to at least late July (where I it was happening more around 4:30).  No more log entries before this.

During the summer, I use the Essence to drive outside speakers so this is probably why I am only noticing this now (only driving my bedroom speakers for the last month or two).

I've checked the logs of my access point and router, and see nothing unusual.  The essence is hardwired to an airport express as I found this more reliable than using the essence's in-built wireless.

I'm upgrading from an Apple wireless environment (airport extreme, airport expresses) to a mesh in a few days and am hoping this fixes it.  In the meantime, I guess I turn off the "audible notifications" and see if this helps.

Any other ideas?

My Essence is doing the same. Every night around 1:30.

It is not related to my network: the A6 which is on the same network doesn’t show this behavior.

As the OP, i am very eager to understand what is happening and how to solve it

I had heard that a soft reset on a daily basis is being implemented to allow the Bluetooth connection to the Essence remote to re-establish itself. I might be wrong? Sad

I have an Essence MK 2 and have not noticed any rebooting. I do not have an Essence paired with it. So perhaps it is related to the Essence?

However, I must confess, I do have an Essence paired with a Core and have not had it unpair a single time, contrary to what others seem to frequent,y experience. My Essence has performed flawlessly since being paired with the Core.

I do have a remote paired so that fits this theory.  The fact it was happening at almost the same time every night definitely points away from any random event. I turned off the "audible notifications", and we'll see how it goes.

I checked my Beosound Core logs last night and noticed the same thing! It's weird.

Let”s hope it is not also on the core, the plop is why I switched my Essence MKII to a core....

My dealer did not believe me I think, he still made a good deal.

I have a Core paired with an Essence. How do I check to see if it is also doing it?
