Sorry if this turns out to be a duplicate post. Not sure what happened to the first one. Perhaps it went to moderation for using the word Beolab too many times. LOL Not knowing where or why it went, I am reposting the question.
I am starting to consider buying a pair of BL50s to replace my 20s. Currently I have 12-3s wall mounted as rears. Any opinions which would be better as rears if I get the new speakers? 12-3s wall mounted or the 20s? Clearly the 20s are the better speaker, but the height of the wall mounted speakers seems preferable for rears?
Thanks in advance!

Personally, I use Stand mounted BL3s as rears for the BL90s.
Dont see the need for big noise in Video/surround mode and the BL90s deliver exclusively 2.0 for music sources
If your keeping either one of your loudspeaker sets, I’d be happy with either one of those as rears.
I personally use bl18's as rears and am very happy with them. I'd be happy too with some bl12-3 as they're f***ing gorgeous and are slightly more powerfull than the bl18's, not that that's needed. I'd say, keep em as rears!

I currently have BL9's in front,12-3's stand mounted in the rear. The 12-3's are extremely capable speakers, not only for Surround Sound (5.1) but also for music surround (4.0). Unless you plan on playing your 50's extremely loud a lot, the 12-3's should be fine, especially wall mounted for rear surrounds.
Thanks all for the opinions!

In your postiion i would take the 12-3 for exact that reason. Or put the 20 on a socket.
I need more Beolabs!
