Hi everyone,

I have some old B&O stuffs that I bought in the 90's :

- Two BeoLab 8000 speakers "pencil"

- A BeoSound 3200 hi-fi with a leg and a cassette/dvd reader

I also got, more recent :

- A set of ceiling Sony SS-TS500 speakers (not mine but in the house I bought)

- An LG oled TV

I want to be able to :

- Stream music from my devices (mostly iOS with Tidal, but I would like it to be compatible with everything for my guests) in bluetooth, with both my BeoLab8000 and Sony ceiling speakers simultaneously,

- Have this same system (BeoLab8000+Sony ceiling speakers) on my LG oled TV when I watch it

- Have this same system connected to my BeoSound 3200 hi-fi if I want to listen to dvd or cassette

Obviously I want it to be the most easy to use as possible (just connect the smartphone in bluetooth when I want to stream music, and just to have it directly working with the TV or the hi-fi when I turn them on).
I also want to have the best sound quality possible.

Now i'm a perfect neophyte in terms of installation of this kind of system. I've already figured out on here how to connect the speaker system to my TV, or to my hi-fi, or in wi-fi, but I have no clue how to do everything of it simultaneously while keeping it ultra easy and fluid to use, with a good sound quality.

I've seen product like the BeoSound Core (not sure if it can manage all of it though) and asked B&O services the same question, i'm waiting for their answer, and I figured out maybe you could help me.

Many thanks

Hi JDFR,

Welcome to Beoworld!  Basically, you have two options if you want to use the speakers with a non-B&O TV and streaming music:-

1) Connect the TV, music streamer and all of the Beolab speakers to the Beosound music system for stereo sound through all speakers, with volume control from the B&O remote (you will also need to add an external power amplifier if you wish to link in the passive Sony ceiling speakers), or

2) Add an external AV receiver with pre-out sockets (expect to pay from around £500 GBP in the UK) to allow all of the speakers to be connected for full surround sound with control from the receiver remote control.  The TV, music streamer and Beosound CD player will then connect to the inputs of this receiver to share the speakers.

Please let us know your preferred option and we can assist you further.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Hi,

one more idea to connect everything together:

Beosound 3200 (?, cassette and dvd???, guess it's an Ouverture with has cassette and CD)  connected via Masterlink cable to a Beolink converter 1611. from here from the Audio Aux Link to the analog out (maybe via optical / coaxial out to a DAC)  of the TV.

Add a bluetooth receiver to the AUX connector of the Beosound.

Set the Beosound in Audio Option 2.

This allows you to select via the Beo 4 / Beo 1000... the TV sound by pressing TV through the Beosound and the Beolab 8000 (Sony ceiling speakers need a MCL2P or Beolink MCL/ML converter). Pressing A.Tape2 / N.Music or Phono / N.Radio or A.AUX gives accessto the Bluetooth receiver, and Radio, A.Tape and CD are integrated in the Beosound..

The needed cables can be ordered at Steve i think.

Hi,

Yeah the BeoSound 3200 has an audio cassette and CD reader, of course not dvd, sorry I was a little confused with all the research i've done before posting.

Thank you for the proposition, i'll consider it but I think I'll go for an AV receiver
