Avant 55 HDMI 1 not working.

Hello. 

Having just upgraded to Sky Q, I was trying to install using HDMI 1 so we can use 4K, however I’m not having any luck. The TV was installed by B&O, and they only used HDMI ports 2, 3 and 4. 

No matter what I plug into HDMI 1 I get no picture. 

Any ideas?

Try 8 instead 10 mbits

I can’t get that far. 

 

Works on HDMI 2, but won’t go 4K as not a supported port. 

 

If if I plug into HDMI 1, I just get a black screen. I can’t change the res. 

8/10 mbits setting is in the Sky Q box itself - make sure that the HDMI lead is the correct one.

TV doesn’t accept 10 mbits, it has to be 8.

Try changing the settings on the Sky box whilst it is in HDMI 2 then plug in to HDMI 1

If you haven’t used HDMI 1 before it will detect a new connection and ask you to set it up.

This can also be done by the menu on the Avant too. But the key is to change it to 8. And as you can see it on HDMI 2 as non 4 K then try that.

But I thought 1-4 do 4 K since that update a while back. Will have to check the FAQs

Got it working. 

All HDMI sockets failed in the end, but I gave the TV 5 minutes unplugged and everything came back to life.

They are all 4K, but only HDMI1 has HDCP 2.2, which Sky Q needs. Thanks.
