Sound 9000 masterlink with BS Ouverture need help

Hello,

I currently have issues with my AV control center 9000 with no more sound from any sources. I can just just ear a very low volume from any speakers connected to the system. I see the volume control is fine with my beo4 but sound remains very low like it was reproduced headphone.

Config is av9000 ML with BS9000 with Penta A-OPT 0.

My bs9000 is fixed in the wall and all cables are hidden into the wall ... Old fashion installation but 21 years ago it was like this....

I get an old but very well functioning Bs Ouverture and I tried to ML with bs9000 to be able to use my 6cds through the Ouverture with Penta pluged PL to Ouverture.

It is just a temporary solution to avoid unplug everything.

But it does not work. When I use Link then select CD with Beo4 it does not start bs9000

I switched A-OPT to 1 and led is blinking once on both bs9000 and Ouverture.

Is it possible to control bs9000 with Ouverture ?

Hi Franck,

If you have connected the Ouverture to the BS9000 with ML then you need to set one of them to be the master (option 1) and one to be a slave (option 4). You can’t have two audio masters on the same ML network.

But I’m not sure you can set either of those to Opt 4. Give it a try.

If you can’t, then take BS9000 off the ML network and connect one of its Powerlink sockets to the Aux In of the Ouverture using one of Steve’s cables.

Thanks for your answer. So I make trials and found that option 0 for bs9000 (no speakers connected) then option 6 on Ouverture works perfect.

So this fix my issue on bs9000 side.

Now I would like to try if I can connect Ouverture to both bs9000 and av9000 (more precisely to the AV control center 9000) with a ML splitter. And for this I contact Steve who is my official dealers for my cables already.

So now I have more time to try fixing issue on center 9000.

Please link the Ouverture, the Beosound 9000 and the AV9000 with Masterlink cables and then use a junction box to connect the cables together:-

If you set the Beosound 9000 into A.Opt 1 (master) and the Ouverture into A.Opt 4 (slave) as Lawrence suggested, then you can use CD and RADIO to control the 9000, plus LINK CD and LINK RADIO to control the Ouverture from either room.

I would like to switch av9000 as slave and put Ouverture master. With bs9000 as slave it works fine.

I want to put av9000 as Slavs because I've got issue recently with it. I got no more sound from any A/V sources. Because all my installation is inside the wall I did not want to break in order to put Penta direct power link to bs9000 and throw away the av9000....

So I used one Ouverture to plug the Penta and be able to use the bs9000 with configuration I explained before.

Now I wonder if I could split my ML to connect also my av9000 in slave with small confidence that I could play sound through Ouverture audio.... If yes I need then the cable and junction box as discussed in separate mail.

what do you think ? Even if small confidence I'm ready to test.

just to feedback that everything works well now with av9000, Ouverture and bs9000.

I used junction box and ML cables order to Steve and voila !
