Groeten, Fred

Hello, recently bought a Beocord 1900 cassette deck. Play on the Beomaster 1900 works perfectly. However, there is a problem with recording. He does not work. The VU Meters also do not work. What can be the problem? Does anyone know the solution on the forum?

Greetings, Fred

In record mode, with record level turned up, try inserting a small metal pin (bent paperclip or similar) into the
DIN socket at the back one pin at a time.
Two pins should give a deflection on the left and right meters respectively.

If this is fine your cable or signalsource is at fault.

If not fine, check the record/playback switch.

Hi Martin, thanks for your interest. Only the keft VU meter works. The right unfortunately not. The recording is therefore only 1 speaker. Is that also a cableproblem?

Check the record/playback switch.
It has many contacts, and is prone to oxidation, particularly if not used regularly.
