Seasonal greetings to you all from snowy Switzerland.
5 years ago I bought a BV11-46 which was delivered with a Beo4 remote that has a very useful "nipple" as the Go button which also allows me to scroll up/down/left/right through menus. I get much pleasure from these products.
Sometimes if I wish to quickly increase/decrease the volume, I repeatedly press on the Up or Down arrow on the volume control button. 9 times out of 10 this works fine. Occasionally it gets "lazy" and I have to wait 2-3 seconds between each press. This is quite frustrating. Sometimes I can fix it by turning off and on the TV.
So I went to my dealer and explained the problem. He kindly lent me his equivalent Beo4 remote so that I could experiment. I put in brand new batteries in both remotes. When I encountered the problem of the lazy volume control button it happened on both remotes, so it is not a hardware issue on my remote control.
My dealer thinks the problem might be linked to the infrared of the TV. But he is giving the issue some deeper thought.
In the meantime, has anybody out there had any similar experience or can offer some advice?

The only time I have experienced anything like this it was direct sunlight on the infrared sensor and I turned off the auto brightness. That fixed it.

I believe he means a Navigation Beo4?
Thanks for this. But in my case I only use it at night with no sunshine issues.
Methinks I should have better used the word "joystick".
Indeed this is the Beo4 Navigation remote (MK4) Type 1710.
Have tried either or both remotes in the showroom to assess how they perform on another TV?
You could try downloading the Bang & Olufsen app and controlling the volume with the app to see how that performs. I'm not suggesting that as a permanent solution, just another avenue to test.
