Hi,

I have a Chromecast audio connected to the line in of the Moment.

The Moment is connected to a Beoplay V1; the speakers connected to the V1.

I stream music (Spotify) from a Google Home Mini to Chromecast Audio.

This way I can play music and control everything via voice.

So far so good; works well!

I have the following questions, maybe someone can help me:

1. In the Google Home App I set the volume of the Chromcast to max.  The standard volume level of the Moment/V1 combo is 30. This delivers a good initial volume. If I want to play a little louder I need to adjust the volume on the Moment/V1. I would like to do this voice controlled.

So my thinking was to change the line in sensitivity on the Moment (was medium and I set it to high). However, this did not change anything / the sound did not get any louder.

Q1: any idea why this is?

Q2: is it possible to change the output level of the Chromecast?

Q3: any other idea to make this work?

2. Lyle (B&O) released a great video a while ago showcasing a Google Home Mini with the Moment. See here: https://youtu.be/X7STTbC7n7E

Lyle streamed (so it seems) directly from the Google Home Mini via Bluetooth. I tried that and it worked fine. However, in the video Lyle is able to see the title / artist / artist picture in the "now playing" screen. My "now playing" screen just says "bluetooth".

Q4: What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Peter

You can control the volume of the Chromecast by saying “Ok google, set the volume to xx%”.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

yes I understand that, but as said on the google side the volume is already at max, so an increase in volume is not possible by voice command

You need to asjust the volume on the moment. Set the standard volume higher. You do this in the app. At least for the essence.

I suppose, that the BS Moment is ‘integrated’ with the V1?

Does starting playback on the Moment turn the V1 on from standby?

If so, all volume control will happen in the V1 (even if you use the wheel on the jukebox).

The setting of the Chromecast is correct.

There is no way to voice control the V1!

Not unless you set up a Gateway (nowadays the BeoLiving Intelligence) and use voice control through this....

....but that is another story.

yes & yes.
so i guess the line sensitivity setting in the Moment does not do anything when the Moment is connected to the V1?

Connect a Chromecast to the tv instead. That way you will get voice control over the volume.
