Hello Everyone!
It's only 5 days to go until Christmas Day and we all seem to be coasting towards it without really noticing this year.. (I am, anyway!). It's only 3 days to go until the Prize Draw, too!! Someone press 'Pause' and let's get a hold of this!!
Last minute panics aside - I'd just like to wish everyone here on BeoWorld, on behalf of the Moderating Team, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Successful New Year!! Thank you all for your wise and informed input, sagely and calm help, sharp and incisive opinions, lightning-fast news breaking, sagely advice - and (as usual) extremely funny and devilishly witty comments over the last year. It's been a pleasure reading it, learning from it - and of course laughing at it!
Here's to you all for being absolutely brilliant in 2018... You really are the best! Cheers to everyone!!!
Smoothly swerving the plaudits to the membership - on a personal note I may no longer be running a business which sponsors the site, But the moderating team and I are all here ensuring things go smoothly - and, as promised, absolutely nothing has changed. BeoWorld will always be the number one Bang & Olufsen website on planet earth, and thanks to you good people it always will be.
I'd like to give a special thank you to all our members who hand over their hard earned money to be Silver and Gold Level Members. Your contributions allow the site to exist. Really. Server costs become more expensive every year, cyber security becomes (sadly) more involved and more expensive every year, and the prizes for the draw all cost hard cash now LifeStyle AV can't donate them for free. So, to the people who quite literally pay to be on here I'll say "Thank You" on behalf of everyone else who enjoys the site for free. Without you people there would no longer be a BeoWorld as I quite simply couldn't fund it personally... What you do is very generous, and very selfless.
A special mention to Steve at Soundsheavenly for being our site sponsor. He's a small business and gives everything he can to help our members - above and beyond the level he should, and has time for. Please support him and buy his products by way of thanks. He works tirelessly to help us all on here and never asks for (nor expects) a single word of thanks.
Further mentions to Keith for making the site as secure as Fort Knox, Peter for being Peter and always steadying the ship where required, Martin for giving us the benefit of his vast technical knowledge and always being ready to help 24/7, Mika for always being there and jumping to the fore when something is required, and lastly my own apologies for not being as active as I should have been over the past year. Managing PrizeDrawBot, his bookings and his fees have been pretty much all I can manage... I will try and improve. Promise.
Finally, to everyone working for, and at Bang & Olufsen. Whichever direction you choose to take, may Peter and Svend approve. They are watching. Make them proud and don't let their good and hard work down. Two very special men formed a very special company back in 1925 - and we all want the best for it....
So - Merry Christmas to everyone, from the B&O employees in Struer to the millions of 'BeoFans' scattered across the planet. May we all enjoy precious time with our nearest and dearest and have a wonderful break.
