Merry Christmas, everyone!

Hope someone can point to some light with this one...

My H8 are no longer responding. Indicator light does not light up at all - therefore, cannot connect to BT, cannot put in software update mode, cannot reset to factory default, touch control does not give sound feedback.

The only thing i know is that ANC can be turned on when switch is in the on position, but that's it.

Some folks have said they've experienced similar things, and have tried updating until it works. However, I've tried more times to care to even count, and how would you be able to get the headphones into software update mode if the indicator lights don't even illuminate?

Anyway, hoping someone has my little Christmas miracle here. Otherwise, I may have to just send them in,.. while B&O still exists lol.

Assuming the battery is charged, you could try to remove it and put it back in again. That normally fixes it when my H8 gets unresponsive.

Yup, battery is definitely charged. To be sure, i tried using the battery from my fully charged H9's as well. Still no response at all. The ANC is noticeably on, but that's it. No light, no BT, no touch control (to turn on/off ANC).

Weird that this only happened right after removing the cord from charging one day.

Software is definitely not B&O's forté (anymore).

Wow.... had to go to Page 19 to find my original post haha.

Anyway, here's what ended up happening.

Sent the H8's for warranty. Was worried since my invoice was from Amazon which showed my less-than B&O's sticker price. In the repair form, I decided to specify that i wanted the H9i (black) if the H8's ended up being repairable.... which they said it was! Definitely a software glitch that happened when I unplugged from charging while accidentally flipping the on/off switch.

Got my H9i's this week. Gotta say, sound is noticeably better, so is the ANC (the children at work are barely audible). I do kinda wish I kept the battery from the H8 though haha, since I still have a pair of regular H9's (and doesn't it also fit the H9i?).

The software was already pre-loaded with 5.0.4... I'm scared to try out the Diana Krall track, so may stay away from that right now.

Also, has anyone mentioned the additional colour settings available within the app? That red/maroon colour is top! I would have chosen that as my replacement if I it was already available. The stone is also pretty sweet looking!

Anyway, I hope I made the right decision to choose the H9i as a replacement than the H8i. So far so good.

Glad this has had a happy ending! Yeah I love my terracotta H9i, such a shame it + limestone was only available for a short time (was part of the AW18 collection). Hoping they a similar colour option for the H9i’s successor
