Beogram 4002 issues

I’ve been trying to fix my beogram 4002. At the moment the tone arm drops and plays on 33 and 45 respectively, which is great.

However the tonearm doesn’t always return to the start position after the record finishes with 33 rpm 12 inch records.

However it returns with some older 12 inch records and with 10 inch records and 7 inch records.

Also the up button doesn’t lift the tonearm, but the down button drops the tonearm when pressed. Another issue is that the 45 button doesn’t activate the motor or illuminate the light when pressed while the tonearm is at base. However the 45 button engages when the record is playing.

Might there be some issues with a relay/ sensor or solenoid?
