Greetings all...

I have a quick question for any Beovision users out there. I am looking to replace my current (old) television set, and I am stuck between the prospect of spending ~£600 on a new Sony / Panasonic 1080p TV, or the same amount of money of a second hand Beovision 7 (likely a Mk3 or 4).

My question is this ... would we expect the picture quality to be better or worse on the older Beovision? The specs of the newer TV will obviously be better, contrast ratio higher and so on .. but it real terms, how woud the Beovision stand up?

Any comments would be welcome.

Well,

I just replaced my 2006 BV7-32 with an LG OLED tv, and the difference is night and day. The BV7 doesn't even come close.

Maybe the newer BV7's that support 1080p would be better and the difference would be smaller, but television tech has really advanced the last years.

Please don’t compare the 7-32 with a 7-40 MK3/4.

Thatvsaid the newer tv are (mostly) better than these.....picturewise.

In every other dicipline the are worse - just connect an ATV4 and/or ChromeCastVideo to the BV7-40 and you are good to go.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV
