Hi all, I’m looking to get a pair of Beolab 2500 to go with a Beocenter 2300. Does anyone have any advice on what Mk versions to look for or avoid? Cloth frets or alluminium? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Anyone know the differences between MkI and MkII of the 2500?
MK 1 fabric grill
MK 2 aluminium frets
The newer perforated metal frets were fitted to the Mk2 versions and look amazing compared to the old fabric Mk1's.

Thanks Ingo. Were there no performance improvements with the MKII?
The metal frets look great IF you can still find them in immaculate condition. They're very easy to take on dings and look quite bad when they do.
as far as I know B & O has only changed the covers
I wish you and your family a happy new year
