Hello, I'm searching for a Beogram 7000 to add to my actual B&O that is composed of: - BeoMaster/BeoSound 5 - BeoLab 9 - BeoVision Avant 55" (1st gen) - BeoLink Converter MasterLink / NetworkLink (connecting BV Avant and BM5) I also have BeoMaster 7000 and BeoGram CD 7000 that are still working but not in use. My questions are: 1. Is there a website where I can find official used products with warranty and with certainty that is a B&O certified refurbished product or used? 2. How do I connect it to my system if the turntable has a DIN cable and any of my products has a socket for it?
Thanks!!
You have two options:
1. You can get a second NL/ML Converter and connect the BeoGram 7000 to that converter via your BeoMaster 5500. This gives you the capability of controlling the BeoGram from your remote or from the Bang & Olufsen phone/tablet app.
2. You can connect the BeoGram to your BeoSound 5. To do this, you need a Behringer UCA 222 adapter to connect an RCA cable source to the USB input of the BeoSound 5 to create an Aux source. You can get a DIN to RCA adapter made by B&O. With this option, you don't need the second NL/ML Converter or the BeoMaster 7000, but you lose the IR and app control over the turntable.
Thank you !
but how Would I connect the Beomaster 7000 to the second BeoLink Converter NL/ML? there is no Masterlink on the Beomaster 7000...
The second solution is pretty fast and easy, but what about the sound quality?

Ah. You would also then need a BeoLink Converter (the old one, type 1612 - the number depending on your region) that converts MLC (from your BeoMaster 7000) to ML.
I, too, would wonder if the sound suffers slightly from the Behringer adapter in the second solution. I myself never noticed it, but my hearing has diminished a little.
There's always just that "cool" factor of being able to control your turntable with the B&O remote or app!
I love the "cool" factor but as long as it doesn't cost me too much!
I think I may need both Beolink converters.. the one that goes from the BM7000 to Masterlink and another one from masterlink to network link since the one I have has only one Masterlink socket and is full.. unless there's a Masterlink Hub.. or something like that..
I also realised that in the Beolink Converter NL/ML I have a "AUX IN".. may I use that instead of the Behringer? maybe the quality is higher.
(I already have the behringer)
w5bno123:You won’t need a second NL Convertor. I think you need an original BeoLink Convertor 1611 which converts datalink to Masterlink from the BeoMaster 7000. This can be joined to the ML from the BM5 or a second ML cable with RJ45 plug can be plugged directly into the newer NL Convertor. You then need to assign sources within the NL Convertor and this should all work. The sound quality remains unchanged compared to the Beringher USB device. The NL convertor is very versatile, it can be used with an IR eye and a pair of speakers in another room like a BeoLink Active kit. The NL convertor doesn’t need to live in the same room as the Avant and BS5!

Now I get this! So I can use a cable that goes from Masterlink to RJ45 and connect it to the RJ45 socket that is near the ML socket on the newer BLConverter. I can't use the BM5 since his ML socket is used to connect it to the BV Avant. Where can I get this cable and the 1611?
Thank you for your answer!
You need both NL/ML Converters. The BeoMaster 7000 does not support N.Music and N.Radio for the BeoSound 5 to give up being Audio Master. If your combination was something newer such as, for example, a BeoCenter 2 and a BeoSound 5, you could just have the BeoSound 5 give up the role of Audio Master. You can get an ML Distribution Box to just plug all devices into any of its 6 ML sockets. It's very plug and play.
If you use a second NL/ML Converter, this does not plug into your home's ML network. You would just connect the BeoMaster 7000 directly to the second NL/ML Converter via one ML cable. The two NL/ML Converters join each other via CAT7 on your home LAN.
Note that while the NL/ML Converter has two ML sockets - the old big ML connector and the new RJ45 connector - you can only use one of these at a time.
Of course, you can always try both solution. Once you have a turntable, you already have everything to connect via the Behringer adapter.
Later, when you find the converters at reasonable prices, you could try the full-BeoLink solution.
w5bno123:I couldn’t recall if both ML connections on the new NL Convertor work at the same time despite them being bridged. If not just cut in an ML junction box and make a local join. The line in on the new NL Convertor is higher quality than the USB input. I’ve got a BeoLink Convertor 1611 on eBay via B&O Ealing if this helps. Regards Stuart

Please do correct me if you try it and I"m wrong. I've always been told that you can just use one of the ML connectors in the NL/ML Converter. There still remains the problem that you can't have two Audio Masters in the role of master connected in one ML network. The BeoSound 5 would have to give up the master role, but that can only work with a few of the newer products that support N.Radio and N.Music and those newer products would not support datalink for the turntable.

This is my plan:
1. Find a good used or refurbished Beogram 7000 Turntable
2. Try it with the DIN-AUX-In cable
3. Buy a 1611 (yours is good at 60£)
4. Buy a ML to RJ45 cable and do the testing, if not working properly buy the junction box
5. Enjoy the turntable via BeoRemote One :)
Thanks guys!
Please, if somebody knows if the new BeoLink Converter NL/ML can manage both RJ45 ML and ML at the same time, let me know!
and also if somebody sales a nice Beogram 7000 :)

I know that the BM5 is no more "Audio Master" as long as the BV Avant is the master now.
Can it help?
