having an issue with my beosound in regard to connecting through bluetooth. i found the dongle to connect to the beosound, with a speaker jack, connected that to a bluetooth receiver. the connection works, plays music etc., but the sound level is way off. i have to push volume to 45-50 for reasonable listening.

any ideas on how to fix that - better dongle? bluetooth amplifier?

thx

Hi and welcome to Beoworld,

Let's start with the basic: the volume on the player must be cranked up until it starts to distort.

The main volume is then controlled by the volume command on the Beosound 1.

The connection with thoses dongles being "Audio only", the volume command by the device, usual with BT speakers won't work.

If this has already be addressed then check cable.

Hope this help.

thanks for the response, understood

so, yes, i can change the volume on the beosound 1 device and i don't try to to use the device.

my issue is that i can hear the source playing, but have to crank the beosound very close to distortion in order to hear clearly (so, for example, if i disconnect the playing device there is a clearly audible hum from the beosound.  in contrast, when i play the radio or a cd, i can operate the device at what seems to be a more normal range

I recently connected a Bluetooth adapter to a Beosound 1 and works fine. Volume is same as is sound quality between CD Radio and Bluetooth.

The Bluetooth device was purchased on Amazon......brand is Logitech. The adapter is one I have had for years, do not remember for sure where I purchased it but I think it was at a dealer.
