Is there any chance to check status of the battery of the BS1.

I used to use mine with power.

Unplugged (with battery), it only lasts for very short time. Doesn’t turn on after one hour or so.

i’m not sure this is related to battery life per se. it doesn’t “die” while playing music. it “dies” after some time of inactivity.

is there some chance to check battery life? any other idea besides returning it?

Sorry steve1977

its not a faulty or SW-Bug on your Beosound 1.

Technical information

Standby modes and battery use explained

Information valid for: BeoSound 1 Last modified: 29-09-2016 09:51:02

Pause/play:

Tab once in the middle of the touch control.
If the product stays in pause mode for 20 minutes, the product will automatically go to high-power standby mode*.

All system standby

Press in the middle of the touch control and hold the press for 5 seconds.

The status LED will flash solid red for a few seconds. The product will now move directly to high-power standby mode* and send out an all system standby on the Network Link network.

*High-power standby mode

In this mode the product is still available on the network, and it can be used for Network Link distribution.Note: If the product is not connected to the mains, it will enter low-power standby mode after 1 hour. This is done to ensure that the batteries are not drained.

Low-power standby mode

Press the power button under the product. This will power the product down. The product is not available on the network, and it is not possible to use it for Network Link distribution.
The batteries will not be used in this mode.
From low-power standby mode the product can be powered up again by either connecting mains power, pressing the power button under the product or by a long-press on the touch plate (2 sec.)

Battery performance:

  • 16 hours of playback time when the product plays at moderate volume

  • 4 hours of playback time when the product plays at high volume

    Battery charging time:

The battery will be fully charged after about 6 hours.

You can check status of the battery of the BS1 in the configuration menu under Status

Fantastic, thanks! Assume no way to disable the BS1 from going into stand-by?
