Hi, I am automating the door. I am pretty far, when you press the doorbird the thouch screen jumps on camera view for 2 minutes and than it links back to the web interface of the BLGW. Bought the doorgong as wel it was to complicated otherwise on turning a radio or flash lights.

Next I want to switch on the light in the hall but only when dark and (-if) it is dark.

Any suggestions?

Hello chucky as far as I can understand there is no "if" or "if and only if" that can combine events, at least on the BLI I am using. Try checking the state of the doorbird. For example it should change state when you send the command to open the door. It might have a state available as event whilst the IR leds (night vision) are on. Given that they turn on while there is no light you can use it as an event.

Motion is a smart way. But it will trigger always, it is not really smart. Thanks this is as good as it gets I guess.

An other idea came to my mind as I am trying to create and if and only if command for the BLI. I am experimenting with BLI modes. I have created a "day" mode and a "night" mode for the BLI and used the astronomical clock to make the  BLI enter the different modes. In this way an event can trigger an action IF AND ONLY IF the BLI is in a specific mode. So let's consider that the sun sets at 1700. At 1700 the BLI will go to night mode. When I will come back from work the Nest thermostat will go from eco to auto. Using this as an event IF AND ONLY IF BLI is in night mode I have set my V1 to start on TV Tuner and my favorite light scene for the living room.

If I understood correctly what you want to achieve is that when you press to open the door your hallway lights turn on. In this case you can use the night/day mode. When BLI is in day mode you can simply trigger the open door command but when it is in night mode you can also add the lights on. The tricky part I believe is if you want your lights to be turned on for a specific time, say 3 minutes and then turn off.

If I understand correctly you set up 2 areas and from there on divide into day and night. Oeff I have more than 200 macro”s in [:\'(], that will be a pain programming. Correct me if I am wrong.

I created two different modes for the BLI. Night and Day. Everyday at sunrise BLI goes to Day mode. To achieve so a macro was created. The event was sunrise and the action was to make BLI enter the Day mode. Everyday at sunset BLI goes to Night mode. The event was sunset and the action is to make BLI enter the night mode.

When I then create a macro for leaving my house the event is my nest thermostat going to away mode. This triggers the following actions:

All B&O products go to standby.

All lights are turned off IF AND ONLY IF BLI is on day mode.

In case BLI is on night mode then all B&O products go to standby but the outdoor lights are set to 100% whilst some of the lights in the house turn off and other lights are dimmed to 60%.

I do not have access right now to my BLI but I can send you a snapshot of the commands.
