What are your thoughts on RL-140 speakers?
I know nothing about them and found a pair for sale cheap.

I had a pair from new in the late 80's. They work best when wall mounted and require a substantial amplifier to give of their best.
A normal 30wpc B&O amplifier section will not be able to control the bass and it will sound woolly. When I drove them with a Beocenter 9000 and Quad 405 combination, they came alive.

Thanks Dom and Graham,
These speakers come with a Beocenter 9000, which in my opinion could never possibly power them properly. Further, I already have a pristine Beocenter 9000 and really no room or need for another.
Your input is VERY much appreciated!
I have a system with a pair of RL-140 and a system with RL-60.2. They are an interesting design. As mentioned by other people they can be mounted vertically or horizontally (I like them vertical) and they can be mounted on a wall, on a floor stand or on the floor without a stand (they have a swing out bar for tilting the cabinet up).Maybe I haven't given enough listening time to the RL-140's but they don't jump out at me the way the Beovox MS150 and M100 speakers do. The smaller RL-60.2 speakers are different though. I have always been impressed on how they produce sound for being much smaller. I like them on their wall mounts. Here are my application of both Redline models. I have the RL-140's with a Beosystem 5500 system (except for the Beogram 5000) on an Attyca1 cabinet. I think it looks quite nice and it does sound good. I completely restored all of the components over the last few years so I do owe it some listening time.
The other two pictures are of a Beocenter 9500 and a pair of RL-60.2 speakers. For that system I wanted it hanging on a wall with no visible wires. I had to tear out the wall they are on and add support for the Redline wall brackets as well as put all of the connecting wiring through conduit. Eventually there will be some sort of LED flat screen television in the middle. That is what that lone wall outlet is for. I kind of wish I made the shelf wide enough to accomodate the Beogram 9500.
