Hello
i totally cleaned my old Beogram : was turning reaaalllllyyyy slow...
worked good and then after a while I had to re open the motor to add some oil (Vaseline oil)... and worked good again ... and then same problem, I had to clean and put a gain oil... etc...
i always have to re open and check ... what shall I do to have it spinning good for the next 10 years ? Is there a good tutorial ? Explaining which kind of oil and what to take care about or what to control ?
should be same as 1200 1201 1202 1203 and 3000....
thank you ;)
Hello! The problem is either in the quality of the oil, or in the fact that something is pressing on the motor axis, forcing quickly to destroy the oil (misalignment of the assembly). Also, it would be nice to check the voltage (v) on the motor.
Thank you for your answer... I hope Vaseline is ok... that’s the only one that working good.
it used to work during 4 months perfectly so I think voltage is ok.
your hypothesis about oil and pressure seems good ;)
is vaseline oilthe good one ? Il will check about alignement using workshop manual...
have you ever heard about replacement of the bridges (i hope it’s the good word) in the motor... by something with modern materials ?
I would frankly not recommend vaseline for the engine. It's my personal opinion. I do not know the correct international names of the types of oils, but you can use a good syntetic oil from engine the car.
I just once had a case with a cassette deck, when something in the motor was skewed, and no lubricant worked for a long time in such uneven conditions.
I finally found the solution and used Vaseline Oil (not vaseline): the motor is spinning really really good : regular and fast ... starting is fast (spining correct speed is fastly reached)
BUT !!!!
The motor is noisy !!! It doesn't not sound like a vibration but more like a let's call it a slow turbine ! When you press start you have this sound and when you listen your record at low volume you really ear it, this is frustrating !!!
Let's see if i can load a video
Posted on youtube : put speakers ON and loud

Do you have any ideas to solve this noise ?
I am really attached to it, was my father's one !
Thanks
Changed the oil by sewing machine, but then was spinning correctly but verrryyy long to get correct speed... but less noise...
Then i tried oil from my... BMW (Motorcycle) 20W40: less fluid than vaseline oil but more than sewing machine and perfect resistance to heat and time...
Works really good and makes less noise...
Then i centered correclty centered the motor (was touching a little bit the case) : now it make really really low noise.
BEOGRAM IS NOW PERFECT !!!! SOOO HAPPY !!!
Still working great... this oil is perfect.
While this may work for a short while, you will eventually experience that the motor bearings will run dry again. They need to be infused with oil under vacuum and then you can enjoy a silent motor for hopefully another 30 years.
