What does each of the options do or is for?

A.Opt 0 = No IR

A.Opt 1 = Main Room MasterLink

A.Opt 2 = Main Room MasterLink (How does this differ from A.Opt 1?)

A.Opt 3 = ?

A.Opt 4 = Main Room 2nd Product (example Please.) Is this for a second audio product.

A.Opt 5 = Link Room MasterLink

A.Opt 6 = Link Room MasterLink (How does this differ from A.Opt 5?)

I assume the V.Opt are for TVs (Video Sources) and would be structured like the A.Opt

If you know of article explaining each of the differences and how to use them I would be grateful

Thanks..

Some of the older B and O manuals on the B and O web site have a good explanation, such as Beosound 3000, and I am assuming BV7 but have not looked at it specifically. I think the Beosound 5 manual also had some good examples.

Beolab 28s Beolab 9s Beolab 12-3s Beolab 1s Beolab 6000s 2 pairs Beolab 4000s Beovision 7-55 Beovision 10-40 Beoplay V1 32 inch Beovision Avant 32 inch Beosound 1 (CD player) Beosound 3000 Beosound 5 Core Essence MKII Beoplay M5

May I suggest you look at the BeoTech section of the Beoworld web site HERE

A.opt 0 = Audi system connect to a Video system (TV) You need to have the audio system in option 0. IR sensor in the TV is the only ir that should work.

A.Opt 1= Two IR receivers in the same room.

A.Opt 2 = One IR receiver in the room.

A.Opt 3= is not used as i Know.

A.Opt.4: Is used in a (Main) room with two Audio or two TV products. One of the Master Link products must be in option 1/2 (a Master product) and the extra Master Link product must then be in Option 4; this is for ensuring the IR control, and the Master Link product must behave as a Link product.

Example in opt.4 is if you have an audio system in main room, and a beolab 3500 that will use the command from main system. CD, Radio Etc. but Beolab 3500 remote control can see the main system. You need to have BeoLab 3500 in link.opt 4.

Opt.5: Two IR receivers in the same link room (1 audio product and 1 video product)

Opt. 6: One IR receiver in the link room

Hope this help for explanation:)

Thanks to all those who responded. The tech section linked gives some good examples
