My Beocenter 2 has been in storage for the last 6 months or so - I've plugged it into the mains, and all that I get is the red dot!

You press a key on the control panel and the red dot disappears for 12 seconds before returning!

The unit does not prompt for PIN entry, I have tried entering the PIN despite this, but still nothing.

The unit does not respond to Beo4, Beo5 or Beo6 commands - i thought it might be an 'option' problem, but i cannot even get the unit to change options!

Could it be that the display has gone?

Help me Beoworld, you're my only hope!

Try the cable between the socket and the head unit, also the connection sockets too.

Hello sir,

I currently have the same problem as you; I would like to know if it was really a cable problem. Thank you very much!

Sorry Spino, Can't help you on your issue and as my very old Boecenter 9300 gave up the ghost in 2014 (ie power unit problem and a mangled tape cassette in the drive) which is now in a cupboard waiting for a good home..
